Ojay took my family and I on a wonderful adventure today. Our day began with coasting within the panoramic views of Vancouver  Island and visiting a colony of sea lions.  Our next stop included watching two groups of humpback whales peak their tails above the water surface before diving again.

The day was full of adventure and a lot of fun. We would recommend Coastal Wonders to anyone who is hoping to see the beautiful wildlife of British Columbia with a knowledgeable and safe guide.

I have been out with Coastal Wonders a number of times, and each has been an awesome experience. OJay knows his stuff, and his passion is catchy. The guy knows the area, the wildlife above and below the water, and is engaging and informative. He also works the boat, gear and fish like a master chef. Heck, bring up prepping, cooking, a food passion, and prepare to be engaged. It appears he has some experience in that regard as well- could be an outdoor and cooking show idea!

I’ve lived in the area for awhile, love the outdoors, and taking to “the sea”, another perspective of the area,is hard to describe- “ Cool” doesn’t do it Justice.

For someone not overly experienced or sometimes comfortable on the water, the efficiency and safety obvious with Coastal Wonders makes it all comfortable.

You may catch more than you keep, but every strike makes this old guy feel like a kid again.

I highly recommend Coastal Wonders and know I’ll be back on the waters with them as soon as I can.

Had a great time out on the water. We caught over 20 fish in 4 or 5 hrs! Can't wait to get back out there!

We had a great morning on the water with Ojay. He showed us the sights and then we had amazing experience catching a beautiful Chinook salmon for our supper. Ojay’s boat was comfortable (and warm!) and just right for our group of four.

We enjoyed a wonderful morning on the water with Ojay on his fishing boat. He showed us the sights and told us some of the history of Powell River and the big Pulp Mill. It was too early to see whales but we saw curious sea lions and a big flock of young eagles! The he set up for Chinook Salmon fishing. What a cool experience! We even got lucky and caught supper. Thank you Ojay for a great morning.

Our journey was exciting, a day of awe, fun, an adventure. Our compliments to you for your captain skills, boat handling, warmth, kindness, knowledge of the sea, awareness, safety. You truly are a  friend of the whales, sea lions and the sea.  As we are not fishermen, we didn't fish, but got to witness a shrimp fisherman rescue which you handled with ease, aplomb, and confidence.
